Medieval Christmas Market
Friday to Sunday – 20 to 22 November 2026

Kick off the Advent season with a unique medieval Christmas market around the Rhine Falls. For the first time, two historic castles, two cantons and two medieval Christmas markets are coming together to create one unforgettable experience.

From 20 to 22 November 2026, Laufen Castle and Schlössli Wörth will open their gates to merchants, craftspeople, jesters and musicians. Discover unusual goods, medieval entertainment and winter delicacies such as wood-fired pastries, Dinnede flatbreads, lángos, chimney cake, mulled wine and warm mead.

A special highlight is the Rhine Falls boat service: during market opening hours, our Rhine ferry connects the two market locations by water. Alternatively, you can reach the other castle on foot via the SBB railway bridge.
